Mille Mille featured contemporary architectural spaces accompanied by carefully curated and engaging settings. The balance between interior and exterior was thoughtfully considered and refined. From these observations, LAM proposed a red ribbon for the festive season, a ribbon that seems to extend endlessly. This structure connected the entire indoor and outdoor space, resonating with the existing architecture to create continuity and emphasize Mille Mille’s attention to the overall experience. This is not only a place for pastries, but a space for a multi-sensory journey. An artwork, and at the same time a new spatial layer, emerged to create moments of interaction and encounter within the festive context. This also marked LAM’s first experiment with large-scale pleated fabric. The most surprising aspect was the ability to shape space through a lightweight, self-supporting structure. The twisted and tensioned surfaces extended gracefully, remaining both light and stable without the need for additional materials or supporting techniques.
