The suburban house surrounded by gardens
The sunshade roof in the Bà Rịa Vũng Tàu House project is designed simply yet effectively, with a mesh structure stretched across sturdy steel frames. The roof is placed over the garden area, with multiple mesh panels aligned horizontally, creating a large shaded zone. The black mesh material reduces the amount of direct sunlight, offering a cool and airy space underneath. The sunshade roof plays a crucial role in regulating light and temperature for the outdoor space. The mesh material not only protects plants from harsh sunlight but also provides a comfortable, shaded area for relaxation. Additionally, the simple design of the roof maintains a sense of openness and connection to nature without compromising the overall aesthetic of the project.
The garden with its vast open skies, or glimpses through the sparse mesh. The shadow patterns cast by the neat framework and the smooth curves of the stretched net. The garden, designed by Studio Anettai, is modern with precise lines, yet evokes the image of the vast fruit orchards in Bà Rịa Vũng Tàu. The mesh coverings, typically used to protect fruit orchards during harvest season from birds, squirrels, and insects, create a distinctive image of the place. The net system is stretched over a slender, modular steel framework, and its position can be adjusted depending on the needs beneath or according to the rainy or sunny seasons throughout the year. The mono-knitted mesh material provides around 70% shade, offering just enough shade for activities below. The mesh also ensures ventilation, doesn’t block the wind, and minimizes rain splashes.
