Chasen is a tool used to whisk and dissolve powder, playing an essential role in creating the foam of green matcha tea. The structure and material of the chasen, along with the motion of whisking the tea, became the main inspiration for LAM to sketch ideas, experiment, and develop this lamp for the space of Matte Matcha & Teabar. Beyond the chasen, other tools such as the chawan bowl and chashaku scoop also possess very distinctive characteristics.
