ELLE Decoration Pop-up Playground, organized by ELLE Decoration Vietnam at De la Sól – Sun Life Flagship
The brief was clear: introduce shade without touching the existing structure. LAM responded with a tensile fabric canopy crafted from Acacia’s outdoor textile. Stretched across a timber framework, expansive fabric surfaces form gentle, undulating volumes. Precision detailing at each joint enhanced the way light grazes and filters through the material. Embedded transparent PVC bubbles amplify this interaction, transforming sunlight into shifting reflections.

The canopy transcended its functional role, operating as a spatial filter that negotiated light and extended the dialogue between indoor and outdoor environments. The “hanging water” concept, developed through experimentation, replaced common weighting methods and became the project’s most intriguing element. Despite limited time, the process remained deliberate, ensuring clarity in both form and experience.
