This project was introduced to LAM during its very first stages. This early involvement allowed LAM to engage deeply throughout construction and observe the project’s unique qualities. The house sat within a pomelo garden in Thủy Biều, Huế, a region renowned for its long history of cultivating pomelo and marian plum. Materials such as reclaimed wood, natural stone, and locally sourced roof tiles enhance the sense of authenticity, and every opening provides a view of the garden. With this natural foundation, textile selection was straightforward. Raw white linen, detailed with minimal stitching and simple connections, was chosen for its clarity and restraint. Raw white linen, featuring minimal stitching and connections, was chosen for its simplicity and honesty.
The curtain design is simple yet refined, enhancing the sense of openness and strengthening the connection between the interior space and the surrounding nature. The curtains ran from the ceiling to the floor, emphasizing height and spaciousness. As daylight filters through, the fabric transforms into a delicate veil, casting soft shadows that enrich the whole space.
