On a visit to Bình Phước Province, the sight of golden veneer sheets laid out under the late afternoon sun left a lasting impression. The dried panels, slightly warped yet arranged in orderly rows, formed a distinct visual rhythm, glowing like an outdoor installation. From this inspiration, LAM created a large papier-mâché lamp for Every Half District 7. Based on a reference provided by the design team, Lam developed the technique and produced the piece using layered paper with qualities similar to veneer sheets. The material allowed light to pass through partially, diffusing it into a soft glow. The thickness was carefully calibrated to ensure structural stability when suspended, while connection details were minimized to keep the form clean and refined. Beyond providing illumination, the lamp became a gentle focal point, adding softness and visual interest to a thoughtfully designed space.
