Mạch – the grain, the fields heavy with bending heads, and the neat stacks of straw left behind after harvest. Working with Mạch Saigon – Gastropub became an opportunity for LAM to look closer into the nature of barley. Vast fields shifted from lush green in the growing season to muted gold at harvest, each detail of the grain became a source of study and inspiration. These images informed the sketches and the making of this artwork for Mạch Saigon. In this iteration, Mạch also became a kind of flow, quietly weaving its way through every corner of the space.
