The curtain system was conceived as a series of light partitions, shaping spaces with a measured sense of privacy. The material carried a raw, handcrafted quality, aligning with the atmosphere envisioned by the architect. Handwoven jute fabric was carefully studied and detailed by LAM to fully express its tactile character. At the same time, certain inherent imperfections must be addressed, such as uneven fabric edges, a tendency to shrink or wrinkle, and the risk of tangling when multiple long panels were hung close together due to non-parallel edges. Achieving a clean and composed spatial expression therefore required a precise handling of these material behaviors.
