There is a striking moment when an airplane cuts through towering masses of clouds, dense and almost solid, before suddenly emerging into a calm, open sky. Then the cycle begins again. The sky closes and opens, compression gives way to release. This pavilion was conceived not only as a response to the identity of Nephele Restaurant, but also as a gateway marking the entrance to the entire Mê Vị complex. A large cloud-like form with a relatively low entrance invited visitors to slightly bow as they passed through. Immediately after, the space opened into a different condition at its center. Moving through this cloud becomes a threshold into the broader Mê Vị experience. Beyond it, the pavilions unfolded one by one, each carrying its own story and spatial language. Like a cloud itself, the form and character of the pavilion were shaped by its surrounding context. In the process of searching for balance, LAM repeatedly adjusted the structure directly on site, seeking a state that could harmonize with the environment while guiding the emotional sequence of the space. Technique, in this sense, became the means to reach the most delicate and exhilarating points of contact. The careful refinement of the structure was a slightly daring experiment, yet precisely the kind of challenge that invited a sense of discovery and conquest.
