“NOI GON” Pop-Up Store Concept, hosted by Ka Koncept Store

The background served multiple functions: it limited daylight penetration, reduced the impact of LED advertising lights at night, covered the visually fragmented urban scenery, and provided a neutral setting that highlights the exhibited subject. Given that the existing interior contained numerous built-in elements supporting various functions, the background must act as both a shield and a mediating layer, harmonizing these details to simplify spatial perception without altering or interfering with the original condition. LAM utilized the four-way stretch properties of elastic fabric, combined with minimal connection details, to anchor the material onto diverse flat surfaces, forms, and lines within the existing space. Color, translucency, and fastening details were carefully calculated to ensure the background performs its role as a subtle, recessive layer as effectively as possible. Cost efficiency, rapid and lightweight installation, ease of assembly and disassembly, and complete non-intervention into the building’s structural system are prioritized, particularly for short-term exhibition events.
