Patchwork Curtain

Working closely with curtains, LAM seems to develop a heightened sensitivity to the space around the window. By the time curtain details reached us, its construction was often near completion, which meant each intervention responded almost entirely to existing conditions. Attention was placed on the position of openings, sources of light, the interior, the exterior, and the context beyond. Natural light became both essential and compelling, a transitional zone rich with potential for creation and subtle sculpting. It was perhaps why stained glass had sustained such a lasting and evocative presence over time. In backlit moments at the window, layers of inspiration quietly emerged, and today, curtains added their own quiet intrigue to that space.
