This project was a collaborative work between LAM and the architects, creating an open, creative, and refined atmosphere. The fabric panels were carefully dimensioned according to the existing structural grid. Each piece was finished with a thin hem to prevent the fabric edges from deforming when tensioned. One end was fixed with steel rods, while the fabric strips were threaded through the frame system in a staggered arrangement, then stretched and secured at the opposite end. Although the process appeared simple, the final hemming and adjustments must be completed on site to ensure accurate tension across the fabric surfaces. The stretched fabric ceiling becomes a distinctive feature above the bar area, helping define proportion and spatial volume within the larger interior. It softened daylight during the day while interacting effectively with artificial lighting at night. The staggered arrangement of the fabric also allowed for good ventilation and visual lightness.
