Hard and soft. Heavy and light. Solid and porous. Concrete and fabric. Two opposing materials were placed side by side in pursuit of complete harmony, where no accessory demanded attention. Curtain tracks were recessed into the concrete, intentionally concealed so they quietly withdrew from the scene. Unlike most conventional finishes, exposed concrete introduced significant challenges for subsequent interior installations. Recessed track details were carefully calculated from the earliest design stages, and the structural contractor required precise coordination and experience to embed the necessary provisions during concrete casting. An exceptionally complex construction process, all to achieve a result that appeared effortless and minimal. A small detail, yet defined the integrity and quality of the whole.
